News & views from the Carter Notch Inn

Ski Season is here!

Well we had a few days of skiing over the Thanksgiving holidays and we are hoping for some more snow over the next couple of days.

We are pleased to announce that we will be selling discounted trails passes for both Jackson Ski Touring & Black Mountain this season as well as our FREE trail passes for Great Glen Trails.

Sadly we have to announce that Henry passed away early December; he was described as a wonder dog by the vets, but eventually got too tired to fight the cancer any longer.

Dudley (right) joined us at the Inn in April of this year and although he has big paws to fill, received a lot of useful mentoring from his 'Uncle Henry' and has quickly become a great Inn dog.  He also enjoys hiking, so he and Sally have been exploring the trails once more & are getting themselves ready for an active winter of snow shoeing.

Dick doesn't hike - he is looking forward to getting out on his snowmobile instead!

For great photos & commentary on Jackson see Tom & Atticus's Blog and visit their facebook page; their recently published book "Following Atticus" is quickly becoming a best seller and is all about their adventures in the White Mountains.

.

So, whatever the weather we look forward to welcoming you back, the fire and the cookies will be waiting for you.
